Peter Alexander writes music for both the concert stage and for the media. Recipient of the 1995 ASCAP-Nissim award for Symphony No.1, he writes for forces as diverse as pop/rock ensemble, orchestra, film/multi-media, solo instrument (including concerto cadenzas), websites, chamber ensemble, and video games.
Commissioned by some of America’s leading new music groups (New Millennium Ensemble, Meridian Arts Ensemble, Locrian Chamber Players), his music has been played in the United States, Great Britain, and Europe.
Mr. Alexander teaches sound-design and computer-facilitated music production at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
